Central Statistics Agency Says Ethiopia’s Inflation Rate Rose to 11.9 Percent Year-on-Year to September

The Central Statistics Agency said Ethiopia’s inflation rate had peaked to 11.9 percent as compared to last year in September from 11.6 percent, becuase of a rise in food items.

Food price inflation had peaked from 14.7 percent a month ago to 16.1 percent, according to the Agency.

The non-food inflation rate had declined to 7.5 percent in September from a revised 8.2 percent in August.
