The Ethiopian Broadcasting Authority (EBA) said on October 3, 2015, it will issue licenses for 22 television channels and 13 commercial radio stations in five years to come.

Deputy Director of EBA Leul Gebru said EBA plans to issue licenses for unrestricted number of newspapers and magazines.

Among the 22 television channel licenses, commercial enterprises will take three and the remaining will be for public services, added Leul.

Moreover, EBA said it will license 30 community and four education radio stations.
