Turkish based textile manufacturing company, MNS Manufacturing PLC is undertaking a project to expand its textile production capacity in Ethiopia with 850 million Birr cost, according to Addis Fortune.

MNS’s current towel production capacity is 4.5 tons per day, but the expansion will increase the rate to 16 tons.

MNS is undertaking construction for the expansion in its premise located in Legetafo, Oromia Regional State of Ethiopia. The construction will cover the eight hectare plot of land the company leased a year ago.

The company had already shipped 42 containers of machines. Also machines for garment making are being shipped, Tesfahun Sanna, Project Manager at MNS said.

Milkay Tekstile Sanayi A.S., Turkey based textile company has 95 percent share in MNS and Mahmud Nursacan, General Manager at MNS has five percent.
