CBE Launches Systems to Protect Its Customers’ Data

cbe-logoThe Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) had launched NetGuardians and TeamMate systems to boost the protection of its customer’s data, The Daily Monitor reported.

SOFGEN, a prominent global banking technology consulting company had implemented the systems.

“Investment in technology that protects against risks like fraud, data theft and information leaks is critical to build trust as well as to our overall service delivery and performance.”

“NetGuardinas and TeamMate systems enable us to see all transactions across the Bank from multiple angles. We can immediately detect any suspicious movements and take preventive action,” a statement issued on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, quoted Ephrem Mekuria, Communications Manager at CBE.

Currently, CBE has over 10.7 million account holders. It was founded in 1942 and has 965 branches all over Ethiopia.
