The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) of Ethiopia says it will decrease internet tariffs.

Deputy Prime Minister for Finance and Economic Cluster and Minister of Communication and Information Technology Dr. Debretsion Gebremichael told Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC) the complaint of the people on internet service fee has been heard.

As a result, the government is going to undertake a study this Ethiopian budget year and decrease internet tariff, he stated.

He also said voice service tariffs will introduce no change since it is lower than compared to African and other countries.
