National Alcohol and Liquor Factory owned by the Ethiopian government is carrying out expansion project to brew vodka, The Reporter reported.
The estimated cost of the expansion project is 400 million Birr. And the expansion project targets at boosting Factory’s production capacity to 300 percent.
Hailemariam Gidey, CEO of the Factory, told The Reporter, for part of the project, 280 million Birr has been released to begin production.
According to the CEO, part of the expansion project is installing new plant for the production of vodka. The installation will be concluded in two weeks, he furthered.
Installation of new waste treatment plant is also part of the expansion project.
National Alcohol and Liquor Factory produces and distributes more than 14 diversified products classified as Pure Alcohol, Denatured Alcohol and Liquors.
