Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) said its reserve has peaked to 242 billion Birr.

CBE Communication Manager Ephrem Mekuria speaking at an awarding ceremony for savers on August 5, 2015, said, the bank has been mobilizing deposits at an average of 34 percent per year.

Five years ago the reserve of CBE was 56 billion birr, noted the Manager.

Of the things that have helped for deposit boost is the surge of number of customers to 10.5 million, Ephrem emphasized.

Through CBE’s endeavor, saving culture is boosting among the society, Ephrem underscored.
