Metals and Engineering Corporation (METEC) said it is ready to assemble 130 wagons for Addis Ababa-Dewelle railway project.

Addis Ababa-Dewelle railway project is 756 kilometers long and it is expected to start trial service in October 2015.

Logistic and Supply Deputy Manager at the corporation, Major Kiflom Gebremariam told Ethiopian News Agency (ENA) METEC has planned to produce cross country carriages and preparations are finalized to assemble 130 carriages in Dire Dawa.

METEC has created jobs for over 234 citizens, it was indicated.
