Ethiopia: Addis Ababa to Host Arab-Africa Parliamentarians, Business Community Forum

Africa-Arab legislators and business forum is going to be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from August 1-2, 2015, The Daily Monitor reported.

The forum is the first in the history of Africa and it is going to be held under the theme ’Investing in Africa Makes Sense’.

The forum will hold a discussion on how to advance economic relations between the two regions. More than 100 public and private sector representatives are expected to attend the forum.

Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PACCI), Association of Senates, Shoora and Equivalent councils on Africa and Arab World (ASSECAA) are the organizers of the forum.

Issues on how to wipe out barriers that are affecting the business environment like complicated legal framework, lack of finance, ease of doing business as well as fighting corruption will be addressed in the forum.

Public and Private sector players from Ethiopia, Djibouti, Egypt, Ghana, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Bahrain, Morocco and others countries of the region will attend the forum.

Kebour Ghenna, Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industry Executive Director said the forum basically tries to bring in more investors from Arab world into Africa.
