Addis Tax Initiative launched on July 15, 2015 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, according to Ethiopian News Agency.

30 countries and international organizations have collaborated to boost international cooperation in this area.

The Initiative features the significance of domestic revenue for financing development and particularly presses the importance of dealing with domestic and cross-border tax evasion, it was indicated.

Countries that have joined the Initiative have announced their commitment to enhance the mobilization and effective use of resources to improve their tax systems.

Australia, Belgium, Cameroon, Denmark, Ethiopia, European Commission, Finland, France, Italy, Germany, Indonesia, South Korea, Liberia, Luxembourg, Malawi, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States, have joined the Addis Tax Initiative.
