Addis Ababa July 14/2015 An understanding that encourages Japanese companies to engage in the industrial parks of Ethiopia has been reached with the Japanese government, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Birhane Gebrekiristos held discussion with his counterpart today at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa Hall.
Agreement that helps Japan companies to participate in investment in the industry sector in Ethiopia was created, it was learned. The understanding will further boost the diplomatic ties of the two countries.
Ethiopia is actively hosting the Third International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD3) since it is a conference in which support could be obtained for developing countries, Ambassador Birhane said.
Japanese Foreign Affairs State Minister Mihora Kiuchi, who is attending the conference, said on his part Japan commends the strong leadership created at present in Ethiopia.
Japan would strive to bolster the relations and cooperation of the two countries to a higher level, he further pointed out.
