Addis Ababa City Administration approved 31.8 billion Birr budget for the 2015/16 budget year on its 3rd regular session, on July 7, 2015, according to Ethiopian News Agency.

This year’s budget increased by 4 billion Birr compared to the preceding year.

Out of the approved budget, 19.98 billion Birr was assigned for capital expenditure; 10.7 billion Birr for regular spending and 1.9 billion Birr for reserve.

The city administration apportioned six billion Birr for road, 5.5 billion Birr for supply of potable water, 3.5 billion Birr for housing and infrastructure development and 2 billion Birr for the health sector.
