Ethiopian Diaspora’s Day is to be celebrated in August 2015 for the first time in the history of the country under the theme “Diaspora our Renaissance partners”, Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosed.

Diaspora Affairs Director General of the Ministry, Feyesel Aley, in a press conference he delivered said the day would be a platform for Ethiopian Diaspora to know more about and encourage them to invest in their country.

The celebration will be held from August 12-16 and accompanied with exhibition, sport contest, field visit, research reports and panel discussions.

From 5000 to 10,000 Diaspora members are expected to participate in the celebration, it was learnt.
