Be Connected Industries, a multi-national Belgian-Dutch company has inaugurated garment printing and labeling factories with USD 2.5 million capital on June 18, 2015 at the Eastern Industrial Zone.
Be Connected Industries has similar factories in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Bangladesh.
The printing and labeling factories are constructed on a 7,000 square meter land which Be Connected has rented from Eastern Industrial Zone. The factories have a capacity of producing 80,000 pieces of garment prints and one million labels daily.
Be Connected is aiming local textile manufacturers for the printing business and the export market for the labeling. According to Martün van der Erue, company’s General Manager, the company is already receiving orders from textile companies.
Be Connected acquired its license on February 14, 2015 and currently has 400 employees.
“With the growing number of local textile factories, the demand for printing and labeling industries is also growing,” van der Erue told Fortune.
Printing and labeling garment factories will save foreign currency and save the time consumed in printing and labeling abroad, Mebrahtu Melese, State Minister for Industry, at the inauguration ceremony of the factories, said.
