Ayu Alemu won the bid to host the coming Ethiopian Christmas and Easter bazaars at Addis Ababa Exhibition Centre & Market Development Enterprise (AAECMDE) with a record-breaking offer of 12.6 and 9.6 million Birr respectively.

The company signed the agreement on June 15, 2015.

But some bidders think Ayu’s offer was exaggerated.

Even if we had not won the bid for the coming New Year Bazaar, the experience taught us to make the winning offers, Ayu said.

The bid for the bazaars was opened in June 3, 2015 at Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce. Five companies have made financial offers from 15 companies that had bought the bid document.

Century offered the second highest for the Christmas exhibition, 10.6 million Birr where as Phoenix Universal PLC and Shakanay offered 10.2 and 10.1 million Birr respectively.

Debol Multimedia offered 5.1 million Birr for the Easter bid. But, phoenix, Shakanay and Century offered 5.9, 6.1, 7.6 million Birr respectively.
