Road Linking East, South of Ethiopia Inaugurated

The Seru-Shenen River-Sheik Hussein road joining three zones of the Oromia Regional State has been inaugurated, according to Capital.

The public treasury has financed the 59 km road. The new route eases and shortens travel between the eastern and southern parts of Ethiopia.

The road is of gravel standard and eight bridges were also constructed, according to the public relation department of Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA).

Samson Cherenet General Contractor has constructed the first 23 kilometers of the road heading to Seru and the remaining 36 kilometers has been undertaken by Yoseph Teketel General Contractor.

The road project consumed Birr 364 million.
