Los Angeles Trade Delegation to Visit Ethiopia

Ethiopia is to host a trade and business delegation of members from Los Angeles World Airports, the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board and the City of Los Angeles, according to Foreign Commercial Service office at United States Embassy in Addis Ababa.

According to the press statement from U.S Embassy in Addis Ababa, the event is to be held from June 22 to 25, 2015. It is organized to honor Ethiopian Airlines’ new service from Addis Ababa to Los Angeles through Dublin, Ireland.

The delegation will arrive at Bole international Airport on June 22, the day Ethiopian Airlines starts flight from Los Angeles, California. Aiming at networking and business-to-business discussions, the delegation will meet Ethiopian Minister of Trade and Industry, the Mayor of Addis Ababa, the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce, and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The Los Angeles delegation is set to host a “Discover LA reception” on June 23 to share its business and tourism opportunities with Ethiopia.

The newly established Department of Commerce Foreign Commercial Service Office in the U.S Embassy Addis Ababa is necessitated to help U.S business do business in Ethiopia.

American companies obtain support from the commercial and economic team on market briefings, trade missions, market research studies, partner searches and advocacy with Government of Ethiopia officials for tender projects, business matchmaking and market entry strategies.
