Ministry of Agriculture announced its national master plan to double dairy production, Walta Information Center reported (WIC).
Tadesse Sore, Animal Husbandry Directorate Director, told WIC since the master plan is devised based on a comprehensive research; it is expected to boost dairy production.
The master plan aims to push the productivity of milk from 4.9 billion to 7.9 billion liters and meat from 12 million to 22 million quintals, Tadesse stated.
The Ministry, regional executives and stakeholders have undertaken awareness creation works concerning the master plan since it is directly linked to farmers and pastoral households, it was learnt.
