Ethiopia’s inflation rate rose to 9.4 percent compared with last year in May from 9.3 percent the previous month, said Central Statistics Agency on Thursday, June 4, 2015.
Non-food inflation rose to 8.7 percent in May from 7.7 percent the previous month. The main items that rose were Khat, clothing and construction materials, according to Central Statistics Agency statement.
Food inflation decreased to 10.1 percent from 10.8 percent.
