Ethiopia, China Sign Industrial Agreement

Ethiopia and China have concluded an industrial expansion agreement on May 19, 2015 in Beijing, China, MoFA reported.

The industrial expansion agreement was signed between Sufian Ahmed, Minister of Finance and Economic Development and Chinese National Reform and Development Commission to broaden Ethiopia’s industrial capacity.

The agreement was signed on the basis of Ethiopia and China’s inclusive strategic partnership.

Higher labor costs and other causes have started to erode the competitiveness of light manufacturing companies involved in textile, leather and similar areas of production in China.
