Equatorial Business Group’s (EBG) heavy trucks maintenance center in Semera, Ethiopia was inaugurated on Saturday, April 26, 2015.

The facility was built with Birr 50 million, Ethiopian News Agency reported.

Afar Regional State Representative Commander Mahmoud Mohammed said at the inauguration ceremony that the center would provide a solution to the problem vehicles encounter on the Djibouti route and boosts the import and export pace of the country.

Daniel Seyoum, Equatorial Business Group Senior Director said the center was constructed according to international standards for the provision of maintenance for heavy trucks. The center was completed within three years.

The Director also stated Afar regional state availed 33,000 hectares of land free from lease for the construction of the facility.
