The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), in cooperation with Shoa Supermarket has launched ‘Sitota’ a Gift Card at an event held on April 16, 2015, according to Commercial Bank of Ethiopia.

The card can be presented as a gift to friends, relatives and others on special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, graduations and other special events.

The gift card, which can be accessed at all Shoa Shopping Centers is prepared in denominations of 500, 1000, 2000 and 5000 Birr. Holders of CBE Gift Card can shop in all the seven Shoa Supermarkets and other stores where CBE’s POS Terminals are available.

At this time, various types of payment cards had been introduced to the market which had been welcomed by the Bank’s Customers.

In the launching event that lasted for three days (April 16-18 2015), the bank held various awareness raising programs on the use and application of the Gift Card in all the seven Shoa Shopping centers found in Addis Ababa.
