President of Ethiopia, Mulatu Teshome invited Private Investors for Africa (PIA) on March 19, 2015 in Addis Ababa to make stronger investment in Ethiopia's second Growth and Transformation period, the Ethiopian News Agency reported.
The President held talks with eight company delegates of PIA which are currently investing in Africa. BASF, Coca Cola, Diageo, EDF, Heineken, Lafarage, Standard Bank and Yara are the eight member companies that make up PIA.
The delegation has been assured by the President to be offered assistance in every dimension and tackle challenges it may face in the investment sectors.
Dominic Bruynseels, Chairman of PIA said, the PIA has been inspired by the rapid economic growth, clear investment policy and current stability to invest in Ethiopia. He also made known of the fact Ethiopia’s achievements in the sector for the last ten consecutive years and that it’s becoming a very positive destination for investment in Africa.
PIA for Africa is an organization established in 2001 in Belgium, Brussels.
