The fourth Africa Airport Infrastructures and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Aviation (AIMA) meetings is going to be held in Ethiopia. The meeting will take place from Tuesday, September 22, 2015 to Thursday, September 24, 2015.
During a press conference, Deputy CEO of Airport Operations at Ethiopian Airports Enterprise, Hailay Gebre Tsadik, noted the forum will give Ethiopia and Africa the chance to enhance airport infrastructure industry development, business-business relations and partnership.
Dina Mufti, Spokesperson for Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on his part said Addis Ababa is undertaking different infrastructure expansion for it hosts various international forums. He added the government gives emphasis for the transport sector and aspires to render quality service.
Chief Executive Officer of BCI Aerospace, Stephane Castel, explained the reasons why his company chose Ethiopia is for the strong geographic positioning it has, the abundant skilled power force it posses and recent forecasts for infrastructure development.
“Ethiopia is a natural choice for the first AIMA meetings since Ethiopian Airlines is one of the important airways in Africa,” he furthered.
According to Castel, BCI Aerospace is the organizer of the AIMA meetings. The meeting is expected to be attended by 200 companies from 25 nations.
Ethiopian News Agency explained AIMA Africa as an outstanding supply chain oriented business summit for international contract manufacture to meet through pre-planned business partnership and commerce opportunities.
