Ethiopia is invited to take part in Dubai's Annual Investment Meeting which is going to be held in the coming March.

The invitation was served to President Mulatu Teshome on Thursday, December 25, 2014 by a delegation from the Organizers.

The delegation explained to Mulatu the event will give Ethiopia the chance to promote its investment opportunities for the world and also attract foreign direct investment.

During their discussion with the President, the delegates disclosed their plan to organizer the same kind of event in Ethiopia.

The event which will be held in March 2015, is expected to host investors from across the world and it will grant the opportunity to fro Ethiopia as well as other African nations to do business at the forum, the delegates explained.

On his part Mulatu appreciated the organizers for the invitation and said it will be given due consideration.

Commenting on the development, President of the organizing committee, Dawood Al Shezawi, said the event will give both Ethiopia and UAE the chance to consolidate mutual partnership, especially in industry and business sectors.

The meeting, which is the fifth edition, is going to be held under the theme of "Sustainable Development through FDI Induced Innovation and Technology Transfer”.
