Ministry of Urban Development, Housing and Construction (MUDHC) disclosed it allotted 11 Billion Birr for the construction of urban infrastructure in the next four years.

Mekuria Haile, Minister for MUDHC, explained the budget is going to be funded by the Federal Government, State Administrations and development partners. He furthered the expenditure is going to bring socio-economic growth across urban areas of Ethiopia.

As per the Minister, the budget is going to be utilized for the purpose of building garbage drainage materials, market centers, flooding avoider tunnels, butchery centers and municipality house services.

In the aim of bringing political as well as economic changes, Mekuriya noted, the government is working hard to create temporary and permanent job opportunities.
