Documents Authentication and Registration Office (DARO) is planning to add three branches this budget year to its 11 offices.

DARO opened only one additional office in Addis Ababa during the 2006 fiscal year. Nonetheless, the Office managed to provide service for more than One Million people in the same period and also collect 171 Million Birr.

DARO’s General Manager, Merisa Gebere-Yohannes, noted these performances were achieved because of the Office’s application of different new guidelines and manuals in the budget year.  He added, “The effort we have made to renew the old system of doing business using modern technologies helped the Office upgrade itself. In addition, employees are also benefiting from the conducive work environment created in the process.”
