Turkish Construction Keen to Invest in Ethiopia

aydenizThe Turkish based company, Ahmet Aydeniz Construction Company, showed its intent to invest in Ethiopia.

Owner of the company, Ahmet Aydeniz, after holding talks with President Mulatu Teshome, disclosed to reporters his company has finalized one road project in Ethiopia and is looking for future projects.

The road Ahmet finalized is the construction of 108 Kilometers asphalt level road that stretches from Irba Moda to Wadera.

Aydeniz noted his company has now acquired experience about opportunities in Ethiopia. Commenting on this he said, “This was our first project, of course, there were some difficulties but now we gained experience”. “We became experienced all subjects and we are going to use these gained experiences in future projects.”

He furthered his company is now looking for future projects it can get its hands on and utilize the untapped potential of the country.

“Ethiopia has a lot of potentials in every subject,” Aydeniz said. “We are construction company also we have food processing factory in Turkey. So these are our interests and we are trying to find out convenient projects here which we can deal with.”

Mulatu on his part urged the company to engage in agro and food processing, agriculture and irrigation, construction of dams, buildings and roads, as well as in tourism and hotels.
