Wegagen Bank disclosed it is set to soon start giving mobile and internet banking for its customers.
The mobile banking service Wegagen has planned to start is a Structured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) version, which it claims will give customers the opportunity to get banking service using any mobile phone.
In addition to this, the bank claims, the new mobile service will offer customers great flexibility and convenience in addition to receiving SMS alert for every activity in the customer’s bank account.
With regard to the internet banking service, there are two types of services the bank plans to render; retail and corporate. The retail service is going to be given to individual customers or account holders while the corporate internet service is for fictitious persons, such as companies and corporations. The latter service will enable organizations to make bulk payments for things like salaries.
Commenting on this the Bank’s CEO, Araya G/Egziabher, said “The new development shows our efforts to provide alternative ways our customers can manage their finances at our bank”.
He furthered the newly to be launched services will consolidate the Bank’s position in implementing technology led financial products and services in the industry.
Both services will be given by one point access in order to manage all account related activities.
