Awash International bank (AIB) disclosed, during the past budget year it managed to raise its deposit from 13.1 Billion Birr to 16.1 Billion Birr.

Awash has also showed an increase in the loan it has extended. The Bank extended 9.2 Billion Birr loan to its customers during the past fiscal year which is a 19 percent increase when compared to the previous year’s performance.

The Bank noted, in a press release, the great leap forward the bank undergone shows that savings culture of the society is developing and the public trust on the bank is also being built.

During the period Awash secured revenue close to 2 Billion Birr. It also opened 35 new branches in the capital and other cities which brought the total number of branches to 150.

In addition to these, the Bank created job opportunity for 4,787 citizens during the last budget year.
