Ethiopia: AARA Opened Roads for Traffic

Addis Ababa Roads Authority (AARA) announced roads it built at the cost of 6.5 Billion Birr are open for traffic.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, during the 2013/2014 fiscal year the Authority constructed 523 kilometer new asphalt, gravel as well as cobblestone roads.

In addition to the above works, the Authority has also repaired 29 kilometer asphalt and 30 kilometer gravel roads.

Engineer Fikadu Haile, General Manager at the AARA, noted the Authority managed to perform better with regard to good governance works, in particular in addressing grievances of the public during constructions.
