Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Ethiopia concluded a bilateral agreement with Russia for the purpose of cooperation in areas of agriculture and energy.

It was from June 24 to June 28 the 5th session of the Joint Commission, which was established for the purpose of collaborating governments of Ethiopia and Russia in economy, science and technic, that took place.

The delegation team that traveled to Russia was led by Alemayehu Tegenu , Minister of Water, Irrigation and Energy, and comprised representatives of 15 institutions. This team also had talks with Valery Pak, Russia’s Deputy Minister of Mine Resources and Ecology.

The joint commission assessed the 4th meeting and explored new areas where cooperation can take place.

Latter after the meeting the bilateral agreement, which enables the nations to further cooperate in the areas of trade, economy, science and technics, was concluded.
