National Aviation College concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with three Chinese institutions for the purpose of offering aviation education.

According to the President of the College, Captain Abera Lemi, the three Chinese institutions signatory to the MoU are Shenyang Aerospace University, Liaoning Shihua University and Liaoning University’s Institute of International Education.

Abera, who is also the CEO of Ethiopian National Airways, said ““The MoU was signed to offer training in aviation, aeronautical engineering and aircraft design, as well as aircraft maintenance”.

Abera also noted instructors and students of the institutions will have the chance to share experience both in Ethiopia and China. He furthered MoU wull enhance the China –Ethiopia knowledge transfer.

On his part Richard Chen, representative of Shenyang Aerospace University, portrayed the MoU as a “big opportunity” for Ethiopia. He furthered they will work together to train the students for they have become on family.

National Aviation College was established a year ago and offers training in ticketing and reservations, cargo and airport operations in collaboration with the International Airlines Transport Association.
