Ethiopia assigned U.S. management company, A.T. Kearney, to manage the newly inaugurated state owned cash and carry chain, ALLE. A.T. Kearney is awarded a two and a half years management contract, according to Reuters.

A.T. Kearney had also consulted the government during the setting up of ALLE.

The 90 Million people population has been alluring for investors from different nations such as Sweden, Turkey and India to invest in manufacturing and agri-business sectors.

Mirko Warschun of A.T. Kearney said “We are an independent management company". He added "Our work on behalf of the Ethiopia's Ministry of Trade gave us the opportunity to take this much further - to reduce food price inflation and modernize trade".

In relation to this Ethiopia has claimed it seeks to modernize its supply and distribution networks and also encourage competition in order to cut costs and keep inflation low.
