The Oromia Micro and Small Enterprise Development Agency graduated 703 Micro and Small Enterprises (SMEs) to medium scale.

In addition to graduating the SMEs the Agency awarded enterprises that accumulated sizable capital within a short time. During the ceremony State Chief, Muktar Kedir, noted SMEs are basis for creating job opportunities.

He added the SMEs do not only address unemployment but also contribute a lot to achieve the national goal of becoming a middle income economy. He praised members, stakeholders and government organs for their efforts and called for their commitment for further success.

He also called onto the award winners to pass their knowledge of using small capital and simple technologies. He also promised the continuation of the government’s support for the middle scale enterprises.

Milkissa Jagema, Agency Head, noted using viable MSE’s policy and strategy has enabled to venture a number of women, youth and other unemployed citizens.
