Ethiopia: Turkish Businesses Delegates to Meet with Prime Minister

Delegates of 100 Turkish businesses are expected to meet with Prime Minister Haile Mariam Desalegn here in Ethiopia to discuss possible investment opportunities.

The delegates comprise manufacturers that are looking for investment opportunities in apparel and clothes, construction and real estate, furniture and furnishings, minerals and metallurgy, packaging and paper, textile and leather products, agriculture, and the food and beverages sectors.

In another news, Small and Medium Enterprises from France were in Addis starting from the last Monday, according to The Reporter. Marc Schneider, head of the business delegation, said businesses from Lyon are eager to start business ties. He further noted he wants to bring in more investors to Ethiopia.

Orapi Group is among the visiting French enterprises. Orapi is a company that manufactures and distributes hygienic and sanitary products for different purposes. According to Guy Chifflot, President and Director General of Orapi, his company is well established in supplying products that serve airports and metro railways.

In addition to this, Ethiopia and France has made a business agreement to work with one another, Dominique Mauppin, Head of Economic Services at the French Embassy in Addis, said.
