A workshop that lasted for five days and presented under the theme of framework of trade laws and their practices, trade procedure as well as competitiveness package will be concluded today.

The participants were from over 200 woreda, zonal and state level administrators drawn from the States of Oromia and Afar.

Terefe Gebresellassie, Oromia State Trade and Market Development Bureau Head, appreciated the workshop by pointing out it will create awareness for administrators in relation to trade activities, law frameworks and others. He further noted the participants should apply the concepts they have got from the workshop.

On the other hand Trade Minister Advisor Wondu Adugnato explained to journalists the aim of the workshop. He said the purpose of the workshop is strengthening trade transaction and commercial competitiveness. Nevertheless, he noted the competition should be done in a way that aids the country’s economic growth as well create awareness for administrators on fighting rent seeking mentality.
