Addis Credit and Saving Institution (ACSI) announced some 46 Million Birr loan has been provided to 169 Ethiopian women through the Women Entrepreneurship Development Project during the last four months.

Women Entrepreneurship Development Project, established to empower women has eight partnering credit and saving institutions.

According to Meraf Alemayehu, Communication and Public Relations Officer at the Institution, the project is aimed at boosting the capacity of women who are engaged in micro and small scale enterprises. The project is not only limited to loan but it also gives trainings.

Meraf noted the Institution also helps women in establishing market chain, technological transformation and creative capacity.
