During the last nine months Ethiopia has managed to earn US$ 366 Million from the export of agricultural products shipped via Eastern Ethiopia , Ethiopian News Agency reported.

According to Tesfaye Hadgo, Head of Ministry of Trade at Dire Dawa branch, the sum of money was collected from agricultural products mainly of the following; chat, coffee, livestock, fruits and vegetables, cereals and oil seeds. These products were sent to Djibouti, Somaliland, Middle East and Europe, Tesfaye added.

Tesfaye further noted, the revenue collected has surpassed that of the same period of last year by 24 percent. 

In addition to this, Tesfaye added, the branch has managed to collect 1.43 Million Birr from quality control services.
