The Addis Ababa City Administration Small Scale Enterprises Bureau has finalized preparations to stage the fifth Manufacturing Bazaar and Exhibition.

The event is going to be held from 2-6 May, 2014. The event is going to be organized under the theme of “Speeding up Industrialization through Manufacturing”, The Ethiopian Herald reported.

The bazaar is intended to strengthen the bond between Small Scale Enterprises (SME) and manufacturers. According to the Head of the Bureau, Tilahun Worku, around 80 manufacturers are expected to take part in the bazaar and display their products. Tilahun believes the event will create opportunity for transfer of ideas as well as technologies.

According to Tilahun, manufacturing has a pivotal role in industrialization, and SMEs are the basis to a skilled man power and semi-processed products.
