Ethiopia: Lamberet Bus Terminal to Commence Operation

The Lamberet Bus Terminal is to commence operation within the next month, after years of delay, Fortune Reported.

The terminal which lies on 22,053 square meter lot in Yeka sub city, was originally scheduled for completion in June 2005.

The terminal have a daily capacity for up to 135 long, short and medium buses with 20,000 to 30,000 passengers daily. In addition, the terminal is capable of serving 40 long distance and 40 short and medium buses at once, according to Abeleneh Agedew, head of Promotions & Public Relations at the Federal Transport Authority.

The Lamberet Bus Terminal is one of the five terminals at Addis Ababa’s exit points that were planned during the previous city administrations.
