Ethiopian's Boeing 787 to Arrive in March

Ethiopian Airlines's Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft is scheduled to arrive in March next year, Fikre Degife, the airlines's area manager for China said on Thursday. The Dreamliner will be deployed on long direct flights including a new destination in China.

Boeing was supposed to deliver in December four of the ten 787s Ethiopian had ordered according to Fikre who said that the arrival in March was confirmed.

Ethiopian launched a new flight to Hangzhou on 3 May 2011, its fourth destination in China next to Guangzhou, Beijing and Hong Kong.

Ethiopian's newly launched flight service to Hangzhou provides travellers from around Africa with fast and easy transportation to the Chinese business hubs of Yiwu and Shangai.

With the opening of new flight services in Hangzhou, Ethiopian also expanded cargo handling services to tourists, traders and business people between Africa and China.

In addition to the five weekly flights to Hangzhou, Ethiopian provides daily services to Beijing and Guangzhou, as well as four weekly flights to Hong Kong offering a total of 23 weekly flights to these cities.

As of 1 May 2011, Ethiopian has been flying daily non-stop between Addis Ababa and Beijing with Boeing 777-200LR.

Ethiopian Airlines launched a new flight on 2 July 2011 to Milan, its 63rd international destination and seventh destination in Europe.
