An Ethiopia -Italy Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Forum was held in Milan, Italy. Higher government officials from the Ethiopian government, including Industry State Minister, Sisay Gemchu, and Director General of the Ethiopian Investment Agency, Fitsum Arega attended the event.

According to a statement the Ethiopian Embassy in Italy sent to Walta Information Center, Ethiopian government officials briefed participants about the investment, trade and tourism opportunities in Ethiopia. Italian companies attending the event have also expressed their desire to visit Ethiopian in October 2013.

Similar forums were also held in Modena, Brescia, Padovan and Veneto, WIC reported.
