Representatives six Italian textile machinery manufacturing companies visited Ethiopia and held a discussion with Ethiopian businesses on Tuesday 02 July 2013 at the Addis Ababa Hilton Hotel.

“Ethiopia is a country with great prospects that is willing to invest in order to allow its textile sector to continually grow. The goal of this mission is, not just to present what our sector has to offer, but to develop a dialog with local authorities for a program of long term cooperation,” said Raffaella Carabelli, President of the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers.

In his opening speech, Renzo Mario Rosso, Italian Ambassador to Ethiopia stated that, Italian machinery are reputable in Ethiopia for their quality and reliability and hoped the visit by the delegation will further strengthen business partnerships with Ethiopian companies in textile sector.

The delegation has also visited textile and garment plants.
