Ethiopia-Korea Business Forum kicked off today, June 20, 2013 in Seoul with the attendance of representatives of the Korean government and members of the business community.

The 160 member Ethiopian delegation, is led by Foreign Minister Dr. Tedros Adhanom. The delegation includes ministers, state ministers, government officials and private sector institutions and businesses.

In his opening remark, Dr. Tedros underlined the importance of the Forum for showcasing the investment, trade and tourism potential that exists between the two countries.

He also said that Korean companies could benefit particularly in heavy machinery assembly, automotive production, mineral exploration, agro-processing, textile and garment manufacturing. These sectors offered immense opportunities for Korean investment in Ethiopia and would also help in technology transfer.
