Ursus SA, one of Poland’s biggest maker of agricultural equipments is to visit Ethiopia to explore investment opportunities.

“We want to invest in the country through joint venture with local investors to assemble agriculture machinery for the local and regional market,” said Krzysztof Sekula, Ursus deputy commercial director.

The visit is arranged through the Polish Embassy in Addis and the company's delegates will meet government officials to discuss its business plan in Ethiopia.

Ursus SA will also participate in the Ethiopia Food Expo – taking place in Addis Ababa later this month.

“We have high interest in expanding our export market from the current 30 percent, mainly in west Europe. Our visit to Ethiopia is part of the plan,” said a company official.

Ursus SA is the oldest and the only agricultural equipment maker listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
