The 6th ICT Exhibition, Bazaar and Conference opened on June 6, 2013 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This year's theme of the event was “ICT for Sustainable Development”.

The exhibition and conference is organized aiming to increase the public’s awareness about ICT and its applications at grassroots level so as to accelerate growth, says Birhane Keleta, Director of the Directorate of Private Sector ICT Development with the Ethiopian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MoCIT).

The event also creates opportunities to showcase ICT products. Furthermore, the exhibition, which includes a number of forums and side events, was intended to create awareness of the sector’s growth potentials.

Over 100 international and local manufacturers, service providers, suppliers and public institutions have participated in the exhibition organized by MoCIT.
