The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia hosted U.S business delegation representing various industries from the State of Illinois from May 13 to 15.

Eight American firms participated in the matchmaking event representing a broad range of products and services from a variety of industry sectors, including construction, renewable energy, mining, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and manufacturing.

Among the eight companies visiting Ethiopia are Ability Engineering Technology, Ethno Solutions, Green Innovation and Technology and MacLean Power Systems.

All of the US companies on this mission were first time visitors to Ethiopia.  The companies discussed opportunities with potential Ethiopian partners and Ethiopian government officials.

United States bilateral trade with Ethiopia has reached USd 1.1 billion in 2012.
