Ethiopian Shipping and Logistic Services Enterprise signed an agreement with Evergreen, an Egyptian container transporter on Today 9 April 2013. The agreement is said to enhance the transportation Ethiopia's import and export commodities efficiently to support the countries rapid economic growth.

Ethiopian Shipping and Logistic Services Enterprise Chief Executive, Ahmed Tussa on the occasion said, the agreement with Evergreen will enable the Enterprises to work together in the Far East, China and Red Sea routes.

Evergreen is the fourth largest global company in the industry. The company will transport Ethiopia's containers located in 71 ports in 24 countries around the world, Ahmed said.

Previous the Enterprise has concluded similar agreements with container transporter companies which cover 200 ports in different countries thorough the world, and the Enterprise is still working with those companies, Ahmed indicated.

Ahmed also indicated, Evergreen was attracted by the growing Ethiopian economy and market availability. The agreement concluded between the two parties will broaden the Enterprise services and competitiveness.

Evergreen Chairman, Baha Badr on his part said, working with the Ethiopian Enterprise will further strength the longstanding relations between the two countries.
