British Companies Showing Interest to Do Business in Ethiopia

FAAS Trade and Investment Ltd., a U.K company showed interest to buy oilseed and coffee from Ethiopia. According Fares F. Oufi, sales manager, the company will buy as much as ten thousand tons of sesame every year.

FAAS's biggest market is China and Oufi said, Japan will also be its export destination soon.

The company sought Humera type sesame, named after the place where Ethiopia’s best variety of oil seeds are cultivated,  the Humera type sesame is mostly favored by the company's Chinese customers.

Oufi said, the company is ready to do business with  local businesses whom are able to deliver the product on time, business who agree with the terms of payment, price and quality required by the company.

Hockley International has also expressed interests to supply insecticides to Ethiopian cotton producers.
